Work Description
1. Preparation
- Conduct a hammer test on the pebbledash to identify any loose or defective render underneath.
2. Masking
- Protect doors, windows, pathways, and surrounding areas using tape and heavy-duty paper, taking special care to safeguard plants and lawns.
3. Restoration and Repair
- Remove damaged render from the brickwork and inspect thermal block cracks to determine if any bricks or blocks require replacement.
- Secure an EML mesh to the brickwork and thermal blocks for reinforcement, reducing structural movement.
- Apply a two-coat sand and cement render to the damaged areas, followed by a Tyrolean render spray to achieve a smooth, uniform finish with no visible scarring.
4. Bag Rubbing
- Apply a PVA mortar mix, known as bag rubbing, to cover minor imperfections and create a solid base for the next stage.
5. Primer Coat
- Once the bag rubbing has dried, apply a primer using thick brushes to ensure deep penetration and strong adhesion.
6. Final Coat
- Use specialist spraying equipment to apply at least 1.2 liters of Andura Classic 21 wall coating per square meter.
- This premium finish provides a flawless, even appearance and is guaranteed not to chip, flake, peel, or crack for 25 years.
